I think i knew i was pregnant the moment that i had conceived,i wasn't very sick,i just felt differen't,i was excited as it took me three years to even get pregnant.
I went to my doctor and i got the bloodwork done,i was very anxious for it to be official even though i knew,i called back the next day for the results and i was told that i was indeed pregnant but my HCG levels were very low and i would have to wait another week where they would do another blood test to make sure my levels were in fact rising,so they did rise but not to levels that they liked.
I was sent to my obsterician for a prenatal analysis, when he suggested that i go for an ultrasound just to check how far i'am,turns out i was eight weeks by this point.
The next day i had started to bleed and i truly had believed that i was having a miscarriage,i called the doctor,i went right away and he sent me for another ultrasound where they couldn't find the source of the bleeding and they said that the fetus was 100% viable,i was reassured that baby's heart was indeed beating and everything was good exceot for the bleeding.
The bleeding continued on and off for the next few months although the further i was getting the more i would bleed.
I had several ultrasounds by this point.
I was five months and scheduled for the BIG ultrasound,i wasn't bleeding at that time but i was the day before.
I knew something was wrong when they couldn't tellme the sex of the baby, then she said probably a boy but i can't say for sure,it just hit me...something was wrong.
The very next day i got a call from my doctor's office asking me to come in,they told me everything was ok just that the doctor wanted to talk with me about some stuff.
So off i went to the doctors first thing in the morning,i went in and he asked me to sit down on the exam table,he said "you have to go see a doctor at McMaster Hospital' 'we found something and it has nothing to do with the bleeding but maybe they can find that too',he reassured me to keep my cool until we knew what was going on for sure,he didn't say much other then my fluid levels were not acurate.
The day came quick to go to Mac,i wasn't scared,i was stressed at this point,i went for an ultrasound there that took two and a half hours, that freaked me out, after that i was sent upstairs to see a doctor and discuss the problem if any.
I was spoken to by a nurse then a doctor who both said the same thing, they wanted me to stay and terminate the pregnancy,i could have a c-section now and the baby would not survive.
I looked at them as though they had three heads.
They found one problem, they found i had a condition called OLIGOHYDRAMNIOS,other wise known as lack of fluid, then they informed me that they also had found the cause of the bleeding,i had a chronic placental abruption,my placenta was starting to let go and it was literally falling on baby who was also breech,so that was causing blood to fill in the sac.
