Today i'am sickened to know that as i go about my hustle and bustle,an innocent baby will die at the hands of facs,a decision was mad ,yet it seems so rediculous.
Lat weekend i fought and raised funds for a baby that still had a chance at life,a vistom of what still has no legal diagnosis,shaken baby syndrome or now a subdural hemhorrage from birth.
No real diagnosis can be made until this baby die's and has an autopsy.
As of tuesday morning baby cassidy was heading in the right direction when family and nurse's watched on as baby cassidy stretched,yawned,suckled and then stretched.
Later that day facs stepped in and said that mom of the baby had no rights and that they would make the last call,this happened after an exciting past few days,baby cassidy was extubated and exspected to die within minutes to hours...she baffled everyone as she hung on tight breathing on her own,so there is hope.
Well sure until tuesday afternoon when facs stepped in again with a court order stating they were stopping all cassidy's tube feeds.
They did stop all feeds,this was just another Terry Shaivo case,cass can make it at least 32-48 hours without nourishment.
As of last night her little body was starting the process of breaking down and has been given up to another 24 hours to live.
My heart breaks for this poor innocent baby,she had fight in her,and they wouldn't let her fight.
And sure,i have to believe in gods will,in all reality what would her quality of life had been if she did survive,she would have been a vegetable.

I can't believe they let Cassidy die... the poor little baby, she should have only known love as every child deserves. I am so sorry how this tragedy has ended. I hope the family and others affected by this tragedy such as yourself can get through this time. How is the mother of the child coping? Thanks for keeping us posted.
