Growing pains

Mikiya goes to see her pediatrician tomorrow morning for something we would at this point say is typical growing pains,
growing pains in preemie's is that much worse then just the normal growing toddler.

She screams in the middle of the night and there is no consoling her,it ranges from 1-4 hours of missed sleep every couple of days,normally i cannot get her back to sleep with out giving her pain med's,which is often complicated as there are so many that you cannot use on preemie's.

I also have to bring her into our bed until she sleeping again,i have to rub her all over her body while she lays there and steadily repeat's the word ;hurt'.

I find it frusterating that a child that is not even two yet can comprehend the word hurt and actually know where the pain is,
in her case the pain happens to be every where.

I'am especially hopeful to get a weight on her tomorrow,she has hovered at 19lbs for so long,and am curious if maybe there have been a couple of pounds added,you can feel weight on her,you just can't see it.

She is tall and very thin,you can count every rib,front and back.

Her legs also look frail,but don't be fooled,she still has a tiny baby bum that cushion a size 2 diaper,i often put a size 3 on her because you get more in the box for the same price.

It still looks as though she will still be in 12 month size summer clothes,all last summers clothes were 3-6 months,so looks like we'll be shopping,and her birthday is soon as well,so i'm confident she will get some nice summer clothes,but i know i will be running to the OSH KOSH store.
